CONCEPT

DO TELL™ was created to inspire personal growth and meaningful connection. Although these questions may get your adrenaline pumping, this isn’t a competition!

Everything here is meant to serve as a positive tool designed to spark new and ongoing reflection practices. Even though nobody technically wins, everyone who plays benefits socially and emotionally!

Whether you’re focused on self-reflection or relationship-building, it is essential that you approach each category with an open mind and a receptive heart. Play using the Keep It Cool deck if you’re looking for more of a PG-13 experience, or select from Spice Things Up if you’re looking to get a little deeper.

Let’s get beneath the surface with your new favorite card game!

HOW TO PLAY

HOW TO PLAY

  1. Sit facing one another. For groups of 3 or more, sit in a circle.
  2. Choose a card from either the Keep Things Cool or Spice Things Up category and read the question aloud to the person on your right.
  3. Once the card has been answered, place it at the bottom of the deck.
  4. Continue around the circle until all of the questions have been asked.
  5. If you choose not to answer the question, you must draw a card from the One Good Deed deck to be completed now or later.

An Interesting Twist

If you’re playing with a partner, friend, or family member, try to answer the question with what you think they would say and see whether you know each other as well as you think you do!

If your group likes to play by their own rules, instead of having players choose from the One Good Deed deck, try creating your own guidelines for players who choose not to answer a question.

So you've got questions of your own?

Find the most frequently asked questions below.

Players take turns drawing cards and answering the questions. The game can be played in rounds or until a set number of cards have been answered.

Here's the catch!

There's no skipping or passing on questions without consequences. If a player chooses to skip a card or refuses to answer a question, they must draw a card from the ONE GOOD DEED deck and complete the task. We're all about a good ol' accountability check here at DO TELL™.

The game aims to foster personal growth and deepen connections between players through meaningful conversations.

The game is designed for 2-8 players, but it can be adapted for larger groups or solo play.

The rules state that, should you choose not to answer a question, you must draw a card from the One Good Deed deck. Why? Because we believe in the power of doing good. Doing nice things for others doesn’t have to cost a lot or take a lot of time, but it’s a great way to reduce stress, improve your mood, and boost happiness.

If your group is feeling spicy, skip the GOOD DEED DECK and make up your own rules for players who decide to skip a card.

The game is the equivalent of PG13 for movies. It's recommended for players ages 17+, but minors are welcome to join the conversation with a little adult supervision.

Maybe steer clear of including your minors in a game of the couples edition.

The questions cover a wide range of topics, including self-reflection, personal experiences, dreams, fears, values, and relationships.

Please be advised, this game may cause:

- blushing
- laughing
- crying

Yes, the game is a great tool for therapists, counselors, educators, and team leaders to facilitate deeper connections and self-awareness.

This is where the GOOD DEED deck comes in real handy.

Players should feel free to pass on any question they are not comfortable answering. The goal is to create a safe and supportive environment, and the good news is that engaging is small acts of kindness AKA the GOOD DEED deck, is clinically proven to create a boost in dopamine which should cheer them right up.

Encourage open communication and active listening. If conflicts arise, take a break and address the issue calmly and respectfully.

It's funny you should ask... Stay tuned for our expansion packs that will introduce new questions and themes to keep the conversations fresh and engaging.
